This slate coaster is made from natural stone. It is laser-engraved with a highland calf and sun flower. The image is a permanent fixture. The 100mm diameter coaster can be cleaned with warm soapy water. The slate provides excellent protection from heat and moderate protection from moisture.
Our Story
CC Wood and Craft began as an idea as I neared retirement. Having spent years in the technology field, I turned to technology to enhance my approach to crafts and woodworking. Towards this end, I have incorporated CNC Routers, CNC Lasers, and 3D Printers into my workflow. This equipment allows me to provide both generic and custom-engraved products, made from natural slate and wood.
These Machines will also allow me to incorporate non-ferrous metals, such as copper, aluminum, and brass, into my projects. These metal accents may be structural or decorative inlay, adding unique accents to products.
Finally, I approach color as an accent through stains, dyes, paints, resins, and inks.
Between the customers’ desires and our skills, we will work tirelessly to preserve a memory or produce a custom piece that will delight generations to come.
